What is Chico Password Station?

Chico Password Station is a web page that allows CSUC faculty and staff to manage most of their campus accounts from one central location. After you enroll in Password Station, you can use it to manage you major campus passwords. When you change your password using Chico Password station, it changes both your Exchange account password and your Wildcat/Portal password at the same time. Password station also allows you to change your password or unlock your account 24/7 via the web. You identification is verified using a series of security questions ands answers which you choose. Password station also allows you to test new passwords to help you create one which meets the Chico password guidelines.

Which passwords does this affect?

When a password is changed using Chico Password Station, both your Exchange and Portal passwords are changed, so you only need to remember one password for most on-campus systems including:

  • Exchange E-mail
  • Chico Domain Login
  • Portal
  • VPN
  • Wildcat Wireless
  • Wildcat Dial-up
  • WebCT
  • EZ Proxy
  • Purchasing Web Site
  • PeopleSoft (Financials)

What is my User ID?

Your User ID is the first part of your e-mail address before the "@csuchico.edu". It's typically your first and middle initials and last name. If your e-mail address is "jmsmith@csuchico.edu", your User ID is "jmsmith"

How does this affect (my application)?

Many applications may be set to store your password. Now that you are able to synchronize your CSU, Chico accounts with the same password you will need to update these applications with your new password.
